How would describe a sick person who is dying?
If I was going to describe a sick person, what would I write? It doesn’t matter what illness they have, I just want to know how you would describe them. Tired? Bags under their eyes, pale skin etc. Could anyone give me any tips?
Please no mean answers or anything like that.
Pale, coughing (blood?), red nose, swollen glans, back pains, blood shot eyes etc
Perhaps the song “anthem of the angels” by breaking bejamin could provide you with some inspiration. He talks about watching someone die in a hosptial.
As for physically, well, frail, tired, pale, a shell of their former self, soul-less eyes, drained… etc etc

A complete vegetable
Well if there the happy type they do all the things they can and he/she always say to their friends “It`s okay i won`t die i still have a lot of time here” and they cheer up their sad friends but once their friends are gone he/she cries and then a protagonist (can be his/her crush,friend,parent etc.) will hear them and comfort them and also do everything they want in their last moments like play go to the carnival then cries like ” I`m glad to have a friend like you” then dies with a smile
If a bad person or the serious type they tend to talk like their dying like “What am i gonna do in my last 5 weeks of my life like that) and writes what they`re gonna do and cry like there is no tomorrow and also they talk like serious ” I`ll do it ” like they don`t have a sickness and their emotion is just the same or crying type and their similarities (sometimes) is that they cry too once their friends are gone or just like okay “What are we gonna do today *normal expression* and also once they die to they put a smile or put sad face (which i hate in a story)
And one more thing the death can happen anywhere the dramatic ones are from hospital or the bed or anywhere on their last moments

u could do a contrast of the person before and after to emphasise the illess…
e.g. his blue eyes that had been piercing now stared listlessly, dull and lifeless.
etc.

shrivelling..
a husk of their former being…
paling
fading
