Is studying Medicine in Philippines a good option? And what are the cheap universities/ colleges there?
I want to know about studying medicine in Philippines in Bachelor’s level and also the cost of cheap universities/ colleges there? Also is scholarship offered to foreign students in Philippines? And are students allowed to work there?
-Thank you.
I’m not filipino but basically all filipino colleges are cheap. My friend paid 50 canadian dollars for a degree there.
University of Santo Tomas is a very good university in the field of medicine. But i don’t really know about their scholarships for foreign students, but you can check their official website for more inquiries http://www.ust.edu.ph/
There are no free handouts for foreigners in the Philippines to include scholarships. The Philippines as a whole does not like or respect foreigners. They, as a whole, only like the money that a foreigner has in his/her pockets.
If you study medicine in the Philippines you will not be able to get a job after you graduate in countries that pay good money for doctors. So my question to you is why would you do that to yourself? Why would you even consider that idea?
University of Santo Tomas!
The best university in the Philippines that offers good pre-med courses is the University of Santo Tomas. It’s located in Manila, Philippines and that’s the capital. You have to visit the website of UST to see what kind of scholarships and discounts they offer to foreign students. Here’s the website: http://www.ust.edu.ph/
pick one, either cheap or good education
You option is good and affordable to foreigners. Cheap university is Pamantasang Lungsod ng Maynila. But sad to state many doctors are shifting to Nursing degree for purpose of employment abroad which is well paying job. You can work here as doctor of course by the salary is low like P35,000 a month.
UST, FEU, MCU, in that order.
From that, assuming you pass Med School, you could get an internship in the USA.
No scholarship, no financial aid, it’s out of the question.
