I got a new job and I am now deciding on our health insurance. Who are the HDHP designed for? I am married with one child. I plan to have another child in the next year or two. I will carry only the children and not my husband since is it cheaper for me to carry them than it is for him. We have no chronic illness in our family.
It seems that many Americans are struggling as hard as it is to pay for health care, how will he make it free?
His speech in Indiana – he will provide health care coverage to everyone for a price; but those who cannot afford it, they will be given a subsidy by the goverment. Then we will be paying for our coverage as well as everyone else’s — when they continue to smoke, drink, use drugs and get fatter.

I have just finished applying for MO Healthnet (Medicaid), and now have to pick a health care plan with one of the following:
Children’s Mercy Family Health Partners
Missouri Care
Molina Healthcare
I looked them all up online and they all look the same to me, does anyone have any suggestions as to which is best? Any experience? Are there any extra benefits to pregnant mothers through any of them?
Thank you!
I am a single 25 year old healthy male. Are there any truly affordable health plans out there for me? And don’t say that $300 a month is affordable, because its not. I don’t need any major medical coverage. I haven’t had insurance for 6 years and haven’t been to the doctor in those six years. However, my eyesight isn’t great, so vision coverage would be good. I also want dental coverage as well. Any suggestions?
I forgot to mention that I live in Oregon.
I am considering working for them as a contractor (or temporary) and I am concerned about health insurance as compared to my full-time job. Anyone with experience with this?
Mark G.–I don’t see the link. Can you email it to me? (Click on my profile to send it to me.) Thanks.
Mark G.–I see the link now, but it’s very generic. I don’t know if I got the whole URL or not. The page I get is a list of links about health insurance, but not about Manpower’s health coverage.
One of my friends is 18 years old and a full-time student. He is planning on using his parents’ health insurance plan (which he is under) to get therapy. His parents don’t approve. He is afraid they will kick him off of their health insurance. Is this possible? Can they do this and still claim him as a dependent on their taxes?
I don’t get insurance through work but I saw something online for health and dental plans. They seem a lot cheaper than getting insurance on my own.
Has anyone tried this? Is there a catch I’m not seeing?
Thanks!
Many people hate Michelle Obama’s food vision for this country but health is the most important aspect of our existence. If we had a certification process for every bit of food and drink like they do for organic food, we wood have a scientifically observable basis on which to manage health.
Can you see any drawbacks?
premiums? I believe we may be eligible to continue our current coverages with Kaiser when my spouse retires, but the premium will be $1200 monthly. What can we do to get affordable health care? We both have preexisting conditions, and although we are healthy, it makes health care almost out of our reach, when we both have conditions which require several visits to health care providers annually.
I’m a middle class student on my parent’s employer provided health plan: Kaiser Permanente, a large HMO. I don’t know much about the health care system. I’m just aware of university provided health care as another alternative. So I’m curious what kind of plan do rich people use?
I want to purchase health insurance on my own. What is a good place to start? How do I find out what kind of mental health coverage I can get? I am really inexperienced with this…any help will be much appreciated!
Those of us, who currently pay the most for our own health insurance, are going to see increases in taxes on our policies.
This will discourage companies from offering coverage with good benefits, and force me and my family to financially accept a policy that doesn’t offer as many benefits.
The democrats’ bill would impose a 40% tax increase on quality insurance policies.
40%!!!!!!!!
How retarded is that?
Obama health plan to cost $75 billion provide health insurance for 95 percent of Americans. I know Hillary has been working on that issue over 10 years.
I care for my grandchildren and make very little, I am 60 and want to find a very low reasonable health insurance. Is this possible?
We’re age 20 & 22. In school. Don’t receive insurance through work. Live in Michigan. No health problems right now (that we know of) lol. We can afford about $50 to $100 per month. Looking for dental and a visit or two per year to a physician (checkups) for each of us and a deductible that can work around that and decent co pay.

I am looking for a health insurance plan, and I came across this term while surfing the net… please let me know if there is any difference in the price or the way you use an online plan and a regular plan. Is there any difference in the benefits in the plans or any other difference? Since I am working I don’t have time to meet agents and that’s why I wanted to know the difference between them… please let me know asap.
