My boyfriend and I live in Florida, where we got to school, but we are both from up North (NY and NJ). We try to come home once to twice a year to see our friends and family. But in making this trip (so far we’ve driven every time but we’ve decided from now on, we need to fly), we’ve noticed that he gets severe travel anxiety. He will be feeling perfectly fine until the morning we are supposed to leave and gets very stressed out, sick to his stomach, and all he wants to do is sleep. Is there any over the counter medication. Or even suggestions of perscriptions that we can bring up to his doctor so that we can at least get him back to Florida before classes start on Thursday? I’m sick, I have the stomach virus. I have it on both ends unfortunately. I’m worried that this is going to affect my milk supply. Do you have any idea if I can take any kind of medication for this besides tums? Also, any tips on how to get thru my nursing sessions with my son?

I am currently on Paxil and I know that is harmful to the baby while pregnant. I would like to start trying for a family with my husband, but currently really do need the anxiety medication. Anyone else take anything while they were pregnant or know someone who did?

Okay people, I have asthma. I also have bad allergies. I’ve been taking my albuterol for about a year now, when I first got my asthma. Unfortunately, I probably need some Daily asthma medicine to help control it. Thing is though, all the medicines I could take have horrible, horrible side effects that leaves me not wanting to take them. I know, I’ve taken predizone before and hated it. I’ve also been looking some up.

What medicine is there that does help but has the least, ‘nicest’ side effects?

My husband is starting a new blood pressure medication, Lisinopril. Because he is taking other medications, I cannot figure out the best time of day for him to take this additional daily pill and achieve desired results.

I can understand that for some types of medication with a longer half-life that it may take time to build up in your system. But there exist some drugs with a very short half-life (e.g. buspar) that take weeks before they begin to take effect. Why is this? My best guess is that your body is ineffective at metabolizing the drug until it begins producing more of a certain enzyme(s)… any input on this would be appreciated as I’ve always wondered about this.

I have been taking that second BP medication for 3 days and so far no change my readings are still high.

I work at a not for profit hospital that has in its employeee handbook that it is against policy to take any form of medication while on the clock. I have medication that has set time intervals to be taken which would require me to take while I am working. Is this a legal to prohibit to take medication prescribed by my Doctor? It is necessary to take this medication but I am in fear of losing my job if it was found out that I am not compliance with company policy? I need a definitive answer please.

I heard something about ibprofen being really bad to take if you are pregnant. I have been feeling sick to my stomach with an on-and-off headache.
