What is the best way of getting health insurance for another person?
An old friend is coming to live with me who does NOT have health insurance so I will have to get him some and he has diabetes so he’s kind of screwed getting it for himself lol. What is the best way to go about doing this and the most affordable?
And could I combine his health insurance with mine or are there jobs out there that he can get that will PAY for his health insurance?
You can’t combine your health insurance with yours since you are just friends. It will be expensive no matter how you go about it and in most (if not all) cases his diabetes will be a preexisting condition and will not be covered. He may find a job to help with insurance but he will still have to pay for part of it too….at least any job I know of.
Health insurance has lots of small print, and an application should only be completed by the person to be insured. In the event of a claim, the insurer may be able to establish any pre existing illnesses etc and a claim would void.
The bottom line being it could be classed as fraud.
