I know normal HDL levels are 40-60, but how common is it to have it at 15? I’m going to make a Dr. Appointment tomorrow to figure out if I should be taking Niaspan or some prescription. I brought it up from <5 to 15 by taking Krill Oil (1 gram per day) but it’s still WAY too low. Is 15 a super scary HDL level to have or is it just low and fairly common to be that low?
I was on statins for 20 years but I developed side effects. I eat very healthfully, exercising most days. My HDL has climbed to 50 while my total cholesterol rose from 148 to 254. If the test results indicate my LDL is good, am I home free after all these years? I’m an active 58 year-old female.
Im 16 and i only consume about 15mg of cholesterol every day.
i know this because i track the foods i eat online
I’m only 21 and slim. I’m taking crestor 40mg, Xanax 0.5mg twice a day, and Zoloft 200mg twice a day… I recently started having this upper left leg pain in the joints conjoining the hip with the leg, Any ideas? I really appreciate it
Since three years I’m a Vegan. I went to the doctor to make some analysis, but i saw the results and Surprise ”HIGH CHOLESTEROL”… WTF?!
I mean a small black coffee with 1 or 2 packets of sugar:)
I take a simvastatin (Zocor) but its side effects don’t affect thyroid. I was thinking organic salad greens, but I can’t seem to find a connection either.
plz give me a scientific reasons
Hello- I got my blood tests back. In the cholesterol section, it lists triglycerides (63) and HDL cholesterol (60) but strangely there is no data for LDL or total cholesterol. My doctor says it was an oversight.. should I get retested or do those good numbers make overall abnormal cholesterol unlikely (this is what she indicated)? thanks
