Just found out I was pregnant and I have H pylori and Osteoarthritis of the spine.?

I am wondering if I am still able to carry the baby or it’ll be a risk for either of us..

What are systemic diseases that cause alveolar bone loss?

I have been slowly losing bone in my jaw over many years. I do not have gum disease. My dentists are perplexed. Despite getting my teeth cleaned 4X a year, they have not been able to control it. I do have a significant open bite, but x-rays do not show evidence of a traumatic occlusion. I have recently seen an endocrinologist to explore systemic causes of bone loss. I have so far ruled out sarcoidosis and osteoporosis. Are there any other diseases I should be screened for? I did find out that I was vitamin D deficient so am taking vitamin d supplements. There are no signs of inflammation on my gums. They are pink and firm.
No, I am not on fosamax. I had a dexascan and my numbers are fine. What type of autoimmune disease causes you to be allergic to your own teeth?

Is beach running bad for osteoarthritis of the knee?

I am a 21 year old female who plays representative football(soccer) and i have had two knee operations already. These surgery’s were to remove cartilage and meniscus so now i have bone on bone rubbing. I am starting preseason soon and a lot of it will be beach running. Will this make my knee worse or help it?

Osteoporosis in Anorexics?

I was just diagnosed with Osteoporosis because of the things I have done to myself while battle Anorexia. i have a question… I deal with a lot of pain (knees, back, hip, shoulder blade, things like that). Could this pain have to do with the Osteoporosis or is it due to my scoliosis that I have? Does Osteoporosis cause any discomfort? I’m a little confused about all this.

Questions on Osteoporosis?

I would like to know what is osteoporosis, when was osteoporosis discovered, where was osteoporosis found, how osteoporosis affects teens and youth, how to cure osteoporosis if there is a cure. And I would like to have this information from different sources (ex. internet, books, etc…)

I have been diagnose with fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis. Does anyone use a natural treatment that helps?

I wake up many times during the night in pain. My joints and muscles hurt from head to toe most of the time. I stay tired all the time. My iron level stays low. I am currently on prescribe medication which only helps a little. I really do not like to take medicine and especially when the doctors tells me I have to be on it for the rest of my life. I have tried several different natural remedies but nothing seems to work. I was hoping someone else with these diagnoses has found the miracle cure for this. I’m a little afraid to take some of the OTC. meds. for the pain and swelling. I can’t do the things I used to do so easily and frankly, I’m getting tired of it. Home remedies sometimes help more than anything else. Anyone?

I have a small fracture of the tibia (osteoporosis). Should I avoid walking or will it heal with calcium ?

It’s a very small fracture. It was hardly visible on the MRI. It’s the upper plateau of the tibia. I’m a young male (42) which is rather odd for osteoporosis. I’ve been only recently diagnosed and given 2g of calcium daily + vitamin D3 + fosamax.I have contradictory opinions from my doctors. Some say the more you rest, the sooner you’ll recover, others say keep on walking but don’t do a marathon. The way I see it is that pressure on the fracture has no reason to enlarge it. For me it’s only a matter of refilling it with calcium, which I had never been given before. Am I right?
