I can’t get a hold of my son’s ENT so he can perscribe his medication and it’s been a whole week that I have to see my son suffer with his cough. I need something until I can get a hold of the Dr. It is so fustrating.

I am looking for a science project idea. I wanted to do something that included or was about a mental illness. Maybe paranoia or hypochondria (health phobia.)
This could be interpreted wrong. I don’t mean to perform and an experiment on a mentally ill person.

I started a job in 10/05. I have taken 3 sick days since, 1 in November and 2 in December when I got sick on vacation. I am viciously ill today, and followed my employee handbook by calling my boss over an hour before my shift started. He called and left me a message telling me that it is unacceptable I called in sick today because he has things to do, and that I have taken an excessive amount of sick days this year and should come to work this afternoon.

If I say no, I am too sick to come in (which I am), can I be fired? I’m not sure what he means by “excessive”, but seeing as I haven’t even TAKEN a sick day this year…

Thanks guys, I appreciate any help you can give me on this one.

(And I don’t get paid time off either, this is all coming out of my own pocket.)

Thank you guys so so much for all of the help. He called me back and I told him no, I cannot come in, I am sick, if I was well enough to come in I would have been there at 11am.

Also, I called a co-worker this morning, hoping my boss was at work and not answering the phone, so apparently my boss was upset that I called the coworker. But I told him I had tried calling him four times this morning and could not reach him – what else was I supposed to do?

Basically, I think everything is better now, so I am going to sleep. Thank you guys so so so much! And I will tell him he’s a jerk, Michael, if you pay my rent. ^_^ (God knows I really, really, really want to call him a jerk!)

Example;
A guy has a very aggressive form of cancer, which already spread to many of his major organs, he has about 90 days left to live. Which he only decided in the last week to get a check-up.

Well my mother has caught the sickness and diarrhea bug and i wanted to know how i could prevent myself from catching it.I am already ill with a flu virus,is it likely i would catch the sickness bug even though im already ill.(sorry there is a few questions in with this)

Tommorow im starting my new workout regimen and its been YEARS since I went hard on a workout routine. I remember the first time last time, I got sick and threw up lol. But then again it was my first workout EVER. Is there a way to prevent yourself from feeling sick after your first workout?

What if the government took over the health insurance system? Everyone would then have health care and wouldn’t health care be cheaper? What kind of problems would we face other than people losing jobs?

My boyfriend keeps wanting to meet my mother. However, my mother is mentally ill, has the mind of a child, very erratic, pessimistic, and exhausting after being around her for a few minutes. I don’t know how to tell my boyfriend because once he finds out I am afraid he will not want to get married if mental illness runs in my family from my grandparents time. I am not sure how to deal with this??
