My girlfriend is two months pregnant. Instead of having morning sickness, she’s having around the clock all day sickness. During her last pregnancy she lost 40 pounds from being sick so much. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Well, I’m 7 weeks pregnant, and my morning didn’t developed until last week. The whole time before that it was night time sickness, that I could actually control wonderfully. Now it turned to morning sickness and it’s killing me because it goes for most of the day and its not letting me eat nothing without visiting the bathroom and putting it in the ‘bowl’. I really need some help because my friends told me drink tea, and eat crakers, but even that i can’t stand in my stomach.

My good friends family seems to be ill quite often. she has 3 children and a partner. the street is quite tight knit and all the children play together. so far there has been tonsilitus, swine flu, chicken pox and a viral infection. although i do stay away as soon as i find out is it still wise to go there when it seems to be so regular?

I know that once you get sick from some kind of pathogen, your body has specialized memory cells for that pathogen now for a subsequent invasion. But do you actually need to get sick for these memory cells to be produced? What if your B cells just detect a few of 1 type of pathogen, divide and produce memory B cells, and take care of the few pathogens before you actually get sick?
I should probably be calling them “antigens” not “pathogens.” But you get what I’m saying.

I was in the hospital for a couple of days and was given a lot of pain medication. I’ve been home for a few days and I feel horrible. I think I’m having withdraw symptoms. What can I do to feel better without taking pain medication?

My wheaten terrier is 14 weeks old and has yeast infections in both ears. The vet prescribed medication that we put in his ears twice a day, but it’s quite oily and now his ears and head look wet and greasy. We can’t bathe his head and ears, because moisture is the cause of his infections. I’ve tried my best to wipe it off with a kleenex, but that doesn’t seem to make much difference. He also hates getting the medication put in his ears and nothing works to distract him during the application.

When someone has a history of mental illness – depression and more specifically an attempt at suicide – will that person be prevented from entering the field? I can’t find any information on the web about whether or not medical records are considered.
