It seems people expect to be happy all of the time now a days. Sadness is as natural as happiness. Most people I see treat the little bouts of sadness they have as a mental disease and want to take anti-depressants or label themselves as having bi-polar disorder. Why are we so quick to label ourselves and others as having a mental illness when confronted with sadness? What is the underlying cause of this prevailing behavior?
Since doctors are not employees of the hospital, does it really matter? How bad is it for a doctor to get suspended?
One doctor at my hospital got suspended (don’t know why) and they have to give all her patients (for that hospital) to another doctor. She came back the next day.
Have you ever been suspended as a doctor?
I am flying with my cat one-way and am wondering what the estimated cost is to obtain a health certificate from a vet. I do not have a current vet in the city I live in, but do have previous shot records. Will I need to pay for a visit as well as the certificate? Any estimations are greatly appreciated.
Is it possible for a doctor to make medical corrections? I had a history of asthma, eczema and adhd. I am exetremely sure to the point where i do NOT have any symptoms of the three. So is there a legal and possible way for a doctor(s) to make legal corrections for my long gone physical conditions? Thanks a ton.
I was just wondering if anyone has ever been a doctor in any of the branches of military. Did you like it? What are its pro’s and cons? I have read the Student Doctor Forums online, and it seems like the general consensus is that military medicine sucks. However, I’m not really sure if this is just a bunch of disgruntled army doctors ranting in one place online, and if the happy military doctors don’t even know about the website. If anyone has any info, please tell me. Thanks!

I myself suffer from major depression so I count in my theory.
It seems all of the most active people I meet in Yahoo Answers have major mental illness?
What is the connection between “crazy” and Yahoo?
Is it the effect of those damned orange bars?
I bought some over a month ago and lost the box for it even though i still have the tubes of medication. My puppy now has more fleas then she used to a month ago. I want to know when i should put some back on, can anyone help?
My husband and I need health care, and are planning to get pregnant within the next year or so. My work offers a plan that monthly costs $133 for an individual, $255 for a couple or $300 for a family. This seems like a lot of money to me, but I don’t know what else is out there.
What else is out there, and where should I look? Do the prices that my employer’s plan is charging seem high, or par for the course?
I need to get Adderall (by Shire pharma), and the best place is doctors who get kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies to prescribe it, thus are more likely to prescribe it more readily than more educated doctors who know it is highly habit-forming and dangerous on the long term.
How do I find out if the doctor/psych is getting these kickbacks?
I just finished my first year of college and I have decided that I want to become a doctor. More than that though I want to travel to other countries and help people. So my question is in undeveloped countries what is the most needed type of doctor? Like what specialization or are general practioners needed just as much as any other doctor.
My fiance is pregnant and is currently living in Canada, if she moved to the US, the health care she would receive is our only concern. Would she still be treated with Canadian health care or would she need to apply for medicare, etc?
Basically she’s had horrible symptoms for the last year and a half, has been to over a dozen doctors, had all sorts of scans and tests done, and they don’t know whats wrong. Today I was reading in a magazine at the hair salon about natural remedies to heal “mystery illnesses” and it was an interview with some doctor who specializes in that, but I forgot what kind of doctor that is. Do you know? So I can tell my friend?
It has to be able to happen in the US and California. It has to be fatal and fast acting like maybe a month to die and person healthy and then all of a sudden have the disease or illness.
Thanks!
The motion sickness medicine dramamine makes you trip out if you take to much, so im wondering if thats what inspired the song?
My wife recently had a back spinal fusion surgery. Ever since the surgery she has had a viral infection, according to her personal doctor. She has fever, vomiting, dizziness, and this has been going on for 2 months and no end in sight. Her doctor says it just needs to be waited out. I think that is BS. There must be a doctor who specializes in infectious diseases. Can anyone give me some leads? We are in the Seattle area with some great hospitals, I know. My wife is allergic to penicillin and its various forms, BTW.
My boyfriend went to jail at the beginning of the week and they are not giving him his medication. He is on lithium for bipolar, celexa for depression, and suboxone for opiate addiction. What are the risk of suddenly stopping theses medications? Is it safe?
Please don’t bother answering if your just gonna judge him
Thanks.
They act like having the government take over the health care of over 300 million people overnight could be remotely effective. One question to you liberals, besides the absurd waiting time experienced in Canada, the UK, etc., (usually around a 6 month wait to get an MRI), what makes you think that we will all of a sudden have doctors to cover around 47 million new people? And how do you feel about the threat of jail time if one doesn’t comply and buy their health care?
Doctor Who has been running since the 1960′s, so I don’t really plan to start at the very beginning of over 700 episodes. But I’ve been watching quite a few episodes of series 5 and 6, and I’m still a little fuzzy on the details of the life of The Doctor. In what series does it start to really explain Doctor Who?
Thank you!
I have my first concert in less than two weeks and I am recovering from a sinus infection which has left my throat and my lungs in terrible condition. I am going back to the doctor tomorrow to make sure nothing else has come of my illness, but in the meantime, I need to do everything possible to make sure my voice will be in tip-top shape in no time. If you have any ideas, please help. Thanks!
